Independence
MagThreonate Brain Lab operates editorially independently from the brands we review. No brand or affiliate program has the ability to:
- Be added to or removed from our rankings in exchange for payment.
- Edit, approve, or pre-review our content before it is published.
- Have a negative finding suppressed or softened in exchange for higher commissions or paid placements.
- Determine which products are categorized as "Best Overall," "Best Value," or any other editorial award.
Our editor (see About) makes scoring decisions before pricing or commission-rate data is reviewed for each product.
Affiliate Disclosure
This site contains affiliate links. When you click a "Check Current Price" / "View Deal" button and complete a purchase at the merchant, the merchant may pay us a commission — at no additional cost to you. This is how the site is funded.
Affiliate links on this site route through our /recommends/ path. Those redirect pages are marked noindex and are blocked in robots.txt, so the affiliate URLs cannot affect or be confused with the SEO of our editorial content.
We participate in affiliate programs operated by brands including, but not limited to: Life Extension, Double Wood, NOW Foods, Jarrow Formulas, Momentous, Doctor's Best, Nutricost, Source Naturals, Metagenics, and LivOn Labs. Commission rates vary by brand. See our full disclaimer.
Sourcing Standards
Material claims that affect scoring or product rankings are sourced from:
- The manufacturer's current Certificate of Analysis (COA).
- Independent certification databases (NSF Contents Certified, NSF Sport, USP Verified, Informed Sport, ConsumerLab, Labdoor).
- The AIDP Magtein® brand registry (the patented raw-material supplier).
- Peer-reviewed publications indexed on PubMed, with study limitations and population disclosed where relevant.
- Current US retail pricing checked across at least two unrelated channels.
- FDA enforcement records (recalls, warning letters).
Where a claim depends on a clinical study, we cite the study and clarify whether the result was obtained with Magtein® specifically or with magnesium L-threonate in general. We do not generalize animal data to human outcomes. We do not present preliminary findings as established medical guidance.
See methodology for the full evaluation rubric.
Health Claims & YMYL Care
Magnesium L-threonate is a dietary supplement. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Specific symptom-related claims (e.g., for sleep, anxiety, memory) are framed as documented research findings or aggregated user reports — not as medical guidance.
Readers with medical conditions, who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who take prescription medications should consult a healthcare provider before adding any supplement.
Corrections Policy
We correct material errors as soon as we are made aware of them. If you find a factual mistake — incorrect dose, outdated COA reference, retired SKU, misattributed study — please email us via the contact page. Material corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date of correction.
Routine refreshes (pricing updates, link maintenance, schema cleanup) are not flagged as corrections.
Use of AI Tooling
We use AI tools for research summarization, draft outlining, and editorial QA. We do not publish unedited AI-generated content. Every published article is edited and fact-checked by a human editor against the sources listed above, and the named author takes editorial responsibility for the final version.
